Cinco de Mayo
The fifth of May celebration is often thought to be the Mexican Independence day. Not true, you can find the real reason Mexicans celebrate Cinco de Mayo here.
Now that we all know why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated, let’s talk about how to celebrate it!
I like to sit back and have a few beers and margaritas with friends. My beer of choice that day is usually Corona, Dos Equis, or Tecate.
If you would rather have a margarita, here is a great recipe:
- 1½ oz Tequila
- ¾ oz Triple Sec (or Cointreau)
- Splash of Sour Mix & a dash of Lime Juice
Shake with ice & serve in a salt rimmed glass on the rocks or strain to serve up
Add more liquid and blend with ice for a frozen variation
Garnish with a lime wedge
If you prefer frozen margaritas, I recommend one of our blenders.
No matter how you celebrate, be sure to be safe!
