The Best Drink Book I Have Ever Read!

It’s called “The Bar - A Spirited Guide To Cocktail Alchemy”.

Yes, it does have some drink recipes, but the main focus is to educate the average person about all the different types of spirits there are. This book gives great descriptions of each type of liquor (Gin & Vodka, Whiskey & Whisky, Tequila & Mezcal, Rum, Brandy, Liqueurs) a bit of history and uses for each. The liqueurs section is particularly interesting as it gives great descriptions of all those neat ones that you seen in bars and liquor stores, but were afraid to try.

The book also contains very easy to understand section on cocktail glasses, bar tools and cocktail theory.

I have seen lots of books about drinking and spirits, but this is one of the best I have come across. It’s very well thought out and written. A no brainer at only $16.95.
