Tenth and Blake: Craft or Fake?
Friday, August 13th, 2010 by HannahSo Miller-Coors has enjoyed the fruits of their Blue Moon and Leinenkugel’s "craft beer" brands so much that they’ve decided to start an entire microbrewery, called Tenth and Blake. [Milwaukee Business Journal]
This news begs the question…
Feel free to sound off in the comments section, too.

The term refers to the capacity of the brewery, so yes, it is possible. Still doesn’t mean it will be a good beer.

I liken this to the Saturn automobile which is/was a much better auto and built with a different mind set. Disclaimer, my family owns 2. That being said, I fully expect Miller-Coors to ruin the brands Blue Moon and Leinenkugel just like what General Motors did to Saturn.

John – Miller-Coors created the Blue Moon and Leinenkugel’s brands to begin with, but I know what you mean, overall – I wouldn’t expect much from a full-out microbrewery run by them.

In the long run you’d still be supporting the ‘big guys’…and i like supporting the ‘little guys’. So unless their beer turns out to be the BEST STUFF ON EARTH….I probably would go out of my way NOT to drink their beer. And if their beer is anything like they’ve done in the past, I won’t be changing my beer buying/drinking habits anytime soon.

Actaully, Leinenkugel was not started by SABMiller, it was an independent brewery prior to 1988 when it was bought by Miller.
