The Amazing Apple Cider Margarita

Monday, September 10th, 2012 by Liz Chatterton

On Friday we sent out a list of 5 Things Every Beer Lover Needs To Do This Fall and today I’ve got something to add. It’s not quite beer related but it is something I highly suggest partaking in before the snow falls; The Apple Cider Margarita.

Apple Cider Margarita

Apple Cider Margarita

1 oz gold tequila
1 oz Grand Marnier
5-6 oz apple cider
Dash of Fee Brothers West Indian Orange Bitters
Apple slices
Orange segments
Blend of cinnamon, cane sugar and coarse sugar, for the rim
Cinnamon stick, for garnish

Add a reasonable amount of cane sugar, coarse sugar and cinnamon to a plate. Run an orange segment around the edge of your margarita glass, and then press it into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat the rim. Add a couple of orange slices and the dash of bitters to the bottom of your glass, fill with ice, and then add the Grand Marnier, tequila and apple cider. Stir to mix, garnish with apple slices, and stir again with your cinnamon stick. Enjoy!

Many thanks to the folks over at How Sweet It Is for the great idea and the image. Your drink is so delicious and genius, we just had to share.
