If Stone Brewing got a report card, the "works well with others" box would most definitely be checked. Another highly anticipated collaboration beer is in the works and if you ask me, it’s never too soon to start getting excited.
Here’s the known details: Stone Brewing Co., Denmark’s Evil Twin Brewing, and Baltimore’s Stillwater Artisanal Ales are working together to create "The Perfect Crime" – a black smoked saison with oak smoked wheat.
If a black smoked saison is wrong, I don’t want to be right. Interestingly enough, two of the three breweries – Evil Twin and Stillwater – are known as "gypsy brewers," or craft breweries that operate on a temporary basis out of the facilities of another brewery. Aren’t gypsies notorious criminals?
"The Perfect Crime" will be available (hopefully soon) in 12 ounce bottles and draft. The release date has yet to be announced, but as a huge fan of all three of the collaborators, I’m looking very forward to it (and hopefully you are too.)
