Environmentally Safer Beer Pong

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010 by Gerg

As summer begins, I think of all of the great times to come and of course of the ones I’ve had. Many a summer night was spent outside playing beer pong and to think of all of the red cups I’ve wasted is terrible.

Reusable beer pong cups are definitely the way I would go if I were able to do it all again. Ruining your vital organs in college is your fault, but don’t kill the earth. Just seeing the oil spill in action and how it is ruining lives and our natural resources should give you pause to think for a moment. What we do can affect the earth, so if you’re planning on enjoying yourself in the summer months, enjoy responsibly, and environmentally… But definitely still have fun!

Custom Bend Bar Foot Rails

Friday, June 4th, 2010 by Hannah

Whether you’re a commercial bar owner, a home bar owner or building either from scratch, we can help you get a custom bar foot rail that perfectly fits even uniquely shaped bars.

Curved Bar Rails

Don’t stop your vision short just to work within the straight, 90-degree and 135-degree common constraints. If you want a curvy, unique shape to your bar, we can help make sure that your patrons still have a wicked comfy place to put their feet. All it takes is some good planning and a perfectly shaped bar rail. Our expert fabricators are always up for the challenge.

Looking for a custom bend bar rail quote? Here’s what we’ll need:

1. Detailed drawing(s) of your bar, preferably with an outline of the bar face. Although tubing can be bent using a CAD drawing or blueprint, these drawings don’t always represent the actual face of the bar. One or two inches can make a major difference in a proper bar rail roll or bend, so a large piece of paper (butcher paper, for example) should be used to get a nice trace of the bar face.

Be sure to include all measurements—length, width and radii of curves— and indicate whether the bracket dimension has been included or not.

2. Tubing and component finishes you’ve selected. Choose from our standard finishes; polished brass, polished stainless steel or brushed stainless steel, or go with one of the custom finishes listed. It’s your bar. The choice is yours.

3. Your choice of bracket style.

4. Your choice of end cap style

Once you’ve compiled the necessary information, send it to us however you like:

Cheerwine - It’s a Soft Drink and It’s Finally Here!

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 by Liz

As the official description writer for the website, I tend to do a lot of product research. When I get to experience the product for myself though, that’s the best research there is.

Cheerwine

I knew that the famous soda Cheerwine would be tasty before it even arrived, seeing as one of my co-workers all but danced a celebratory jig when he heard we’d be carrying it. He’d become hooked when he lived in North Carolina years ago and he couldn’t wait to get his hands on a bottle here.

When it showed up, he raced into the back to reserve a case for himself. Luckily, our boss Dave was kind enough to chill an additional case and a half for employees to try and let me tell you, this stuff is gooooooood. As in, we’ll have to remember to save some for the customers good.

Cheerwine

I’m actually not much of a soda drinker but when I do indulge, my favorite is usually Cherry Coke. I’m saying this, just to point out that I’m a big cherry flavor fan to begin with. I won’t however compare Cheerwine to Cherry Coke though, seeing as it’s an apples to oranges type situation. I’m sure I will still enjoy Cherry Coke from time to time but Cheerwine has introduced me to a whole new kind of cherry pop.

Packaged in a vintage style glass bottle and made with real cane sugar, it’s just a different kind of drink. As corny as it may sound, it kind of takes you back to a simpler time, even if you never lived through that time in the first place.

Just knowing that the 5th generation of the inventor’s family is still running the company after 90+ years gives you an idea of the passion that goes into each bottle. One taste and you’ll know why the folks down in NC have been guzzling the stuff since 1917.

The website itsasoftdrink.com gives you a clear idea of the brand’s personality (which is fun, laid back and slightly cracked out) and after poking around a bit, you totally understand why their tagline is "Long Live Leisure". If you don’t believe me, you might want to listen to Beverage World Magazine or the people over at the Food Network, they love it to. Either way, you should get your hands on some. It just might be the best $1.50 you ever spend.

Like it Dirty? How About Filthy?

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 by Hannah

If you’re a fan of the classic dirty martini, we have some olive brines that will knock you for a loop. Seriously. Toss Martini Mixers and Olives are incredibly flavorful and make a meaner martini than you could even imagine.

Some people like their martinis dirty. I know I do, when the mood strikes. Of course, dirty isn’t always enough. Sometimes, I want mine filthy. What makes a filthy martini? Olive brine with hunks of Spanish olives floating throughout. Delicious. Of course, if dirty isn’t enough and you want it hot too, try Toss PepperTini Mix. It’s an incredible infusion of olive brine and habanero for a martini that’s out of this world.

Toss Dirty Martini Mixers

Better yet, switch it up whenever the mood strikes. The Toss Dirty Martini Variety pack offers all three delicious flavors for the perfect dirty martini, anytime.

Dinner Party: Perfect It With Port

Thursday, May 27th, 2010 by Gerg

So, you want to impress your new friends… You already invited them to a party. Your china is dusted off, you just purchased (errr…made) a fantastic aged steak dinner, now for the beverage. I know you better, you want a beverage that will really wow them. How about a Port? You already have the figs, cheese and nuts out for appetizers (you do don’t you?) A Port can really set an elegant mood that will wow your guests and your taste buds.

Port Wine Glasses

The aroma is inviting the taste is superb and you really want to get the maximum wow out of this rather expensive drink you’ve been dying to try. Get the right Port glass. The proper bulb will let the aroma gently waft into your nostrils, the stem will keep it from being warmed by your fingertips and the base is just wide enough to be elegant and prevent your guests from misplacing the glass on the floor as opposed to the table when this high test drink kicks in.

Best of luck. At least you’ve made a good first impression…
