This kit comes with just about everything you will need to turn a fridge into a kegerator that serves draft Guinness. The only thing that is not included is the mixed gas tank. Here is why: To dispense Guinness you need to use a mixed air tank that is 75% Nitrogen and 25% CO2. Each local gas dealer has different specifications for filling mixed tanks. So, including one tank in this kit just wouldn’t work.
Before you order your tank, it’s important to find a local gas retailer that will service a mixed gas tank. Then, find out and what their specifications are for filling these types of tanks, including: size (cubic footage), rating (i.e. 2015) and type of valve head used (Nitrogen or CO2). All gas dealers are different (some will fill a CO2 tank with mixed gas, some will only fill a Nitrogen tank). So, we recommend that you purchase a size and type that will be easy for you to fill locally.
Conveniently, this kit comes with a Nitrogen Regulator to CO2 Tank Adapter. If your local gas dealer only fills CO2 tanks, this piece will easily allow your system to adapt.
