Polar Ware brew pots are made in the USA of 300-grade stainless steel. The handles are strong welded (not riveted) tubular stainless steel, the cover features a recessed strap handle for easy lifting and stacking and a hook on the cover for hanging on the edge of your pot.
The brew pots have a 1/2 inch stainless steel full port ball valve for draining wort or sparge water. An exterior 1/2 inch FPT port is located 5 inch above the ball valve for an optional thermometer (which can be easily sealed with a stainless steel plug if not needed.) There is a threaded 1/2 inch FPT port inside the pot, set into the ball valve outlet so it doesn’t protrude into the pot interior.
The sight gauge that is available is made of impact resistant clear polycarbonate plastic, with easy to read gradations, temperature rated to 285 degrees F and is removable for easy cleaning.
