The balancier style of Absinthe Brouilleur Dripper, also known as a see-saw dripper or a Cusenier “auto verseur”, evenly dispenses water as part of the absinthe louche ritual. Water slowly drips through the bottom of the stainless steel dripper and on to the lever, which teeters like a see-saw to dispense the water.
The see-saw motion of the water dripper adds to the visual appeal of the absinthe louche ritual. The absinthe dripper allows you to slowly add water to your drink while taking away some of the mess you get from pouring water directly on to the spoon and sugar cube.

- Sometimes referred to as the Cusenier "Auto Verseur" or see-saw, this piece is for a single serving
- To use, first pour one dose of absinthe into an absinthe glass, then place an absinthe spoon atop the glass and a sugar cube on the spoon
- The balancier is then situated on top of the glass and over the spoon and sugar cube
- Ice and water are then added inside the dripper and the water begins to slowly drip through a small hole located at the bottom of the dripper
- Each droplet falls onto the lever which creates a see-saw motion dispensing the water onto the sugar cube and the sugar water drips into the glass of absinthe
