Today is National Vodka day. That’s right. And it happens to fall on a Friday, which means it’s the perfect time to celebrate. If you’re just finding out about it, or unsure of how to properly party, I’m here to help with 5 celebration suggestions.
1. Drink Vodka
This is the most important thing. I don’t care what you choose to drink – Svedka, Absolut, Grey Goose, or something super nice. It really doesn’t matter. Just drink some vodka.
2. Buy An Awesome Absolut Recycled Bottle Tumbler – $10.99
Sure, you won’t have it in time for this year’s party, but there’s always next year, and truthfully, this thing is pretty badass all year long. Made from a recycled Absolut bottle, the tumbler holds 30 ounces. Get one.
3. Make a Vodka Drink
Do a simple Google search for “vodka cocktails,” or give the Salty Dog a try:
– 1¼ oz of vodka
– Juice of ½ yellow grapefruit, plus more for wetting rim of glass
– 2 tsp simple syrup
– Coarse salt
– Crushed or cubed ice
Spread coarse salt on a small plate. Wet rim of glass with fresh yellow grapefruit juice. Dip rim of glass in salt and fill the glass about halfway with ice. Add vodka, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup to the glass, stir, and enjoy.
4. Show Off Your Selection
Ditch the boring bottles, and load your vodka into this Zombie Head Crystal Skull Decanter ($19.95). Again, you won’t have it in time for this year’s Vodka Day celebrations, but Halloween is right around the corner. I mean, come on.
5. Throw an Impromptu Vodka Day Party
I don’t need to tell you how to party, right? I didn’t think so. However, there are a few guiding principles for throwing an impromptu vodka day party: Drink and serve vodka, talk about vodka day, and tell people where you heard about it – from us of course. Now, go have fun.
