(Adult) Halloween Treats for the Weekend

We’re big fans of the Luxist site and we just had to point you in the direction of this post – Five Spirits and Cocktails for Adult Halloween Parties. Vampire Kiss MartiniWe were expecting the absinthe and Crystal Head Vodka recommendations (Note: if you don’t want to pay for $42 vodka, you can buy one of our skulls and fill it with whatever spirit you’d like) but some of the other recipes have us really intrigued. We especially love the suggestion of using Chambord, as it’s a raspberry blackberry liqueur that is perfect for turning cocktails blood red. Also, it’s pretty tasty. Vampire Kiss Martini anyone? It’s 1½ oz vodka, 1½ oz champagne and ¾ oz Chambord. Just take the red sugar and rim a martini glass. Pour the vodka and Chambord into the glass. Top off the drink with the champagne. The Brazilian Pumpkin Frappe sounds pretty delicious too. It’s 1½ oz Cabana Cachaça, ½ oz Jamaican Rum, 1 whole egg, ½ oz Half n Half, ½ oz Maple syrup, 2 dashes Fee’s Aromatic bitters and 1 heaping teaspoon of Organic Pumpkin pie mix topped with cinnamon and fresh grated nutmeg. Make sure to check out the Luxist post for all of the info. [techtags:HALLOWEEN, COCKTAILS, DRINK RECIPES, HALLOWEEN COCKTAILS]
