Now, I’ve been known to make Guinness Ice Cream Floats, but I’ve never gone so far as to whip up an actual beer milkshake. Mike Pomranz found a joint called 67 Burger that actually sells these. According to his article, they did not disappoint.
This set me on a quest to find a good beer milkshake recipe. Here’s one from pressdemocrat.com:
1 cup ice cream of your choice (think I’d go vanilla)
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp sugar (if you like)
1 Tbsp malt powder
3 Tbsp stout beer (frankly, using a little more is fine. You can use any type of beer, but a stouter beer lends a chocolate & caramel tone that’s especially nice)
Blend and serve.
