What’s on Tap for Christmas?

Custom BrewCrafters Christmas AleHere at KegWorks, we enjoy fine, local draft brews to match each season. On tap this month is one of my new favorites, Custom BrewCrafters Christmas Ale.

This Christmas ale pours a rich copper-cranberry color – perfect for celebrating the season – with a light head that dissipates rather quickly. Each sip offers tastes of caramel malt with a hint of cinnamon spice and brown sugar.

Unlike most Christmas ales, it is not over spiced, nor is it over sweet, despite the malt and spices used. Its smooth, clean, medium body makes it a great session beer for this time of year. Not so light that you feel like you’re drinking a pilsner, but not so heavy that you’re full after one pint. Perfect.

I think this year, instead of cookies and milk, I might just have to surprise Santa with a growler of the good stuff.
