In Your Glass: The Dead Man’s Mule

Looking for something new to mix up in your glass this weekend? Summertime is the perfect season to break out the ginger beer. Most everyone who digs a ginger beer cocktail has tried the Moscow Mule or Bermuda’s own Dark and Stormy, so I thought I’d toss out a new and different recipe today. In every sip, you’ll find flavors of anise, cinnamon and ginger are heavily present, whirled together with sweet, delicious almond.

Orgeat Syrup and Ginger Beer

Dead Man’s Mule
2 oz absinthe
2 oz Goldschlager
1½ oz orgeat
1½ oz fresh lime juice
Ginger beer
Lime wedge, for garnish

Add absinthe, Goldschlager, orgeat and lime juice to a shaker. Fill halfway with ice and shake until mixed well. Strain into a collins glass filled with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

I know I’ll be whipping this up again soon. Lemme know what you think if you do, too.
