WA|HH Quantum Sensations is a new alcohol spray that instantly intoxicates the user. The catch is, the effects of the spray only last for a few moments.
Invented by a French American scientist by the name of David Edwards, the spray was unveiled during a recent Paris exhibition. With just a 0.075-milliliter dosage, it would reportedly take 1,000 sprays to equal the level of alcohol in one standard drink.

According to our friends at Yahoo, “not only does the sensation of being drunk wear off almost immediately but the user would also supposedly be able to pass a breathalyzer test, verifying that they are no longer under the influence of alcohol.”
Personally, I’m wondering if I’d even feel drunk long enough to figure out that I felt drunk. Edwards has invented a bunch of other sprays that allow you to taste foods and drinks without consuming them, and they’ve sold more than 400,000 units.
I’m also trying to figure out if these are supposed to be diet aids? I get that all of the good things in life (like booze, coffee, and chocolate) are loaded with things that aren’t great for you – but isn’t that what moderation is about? I think I’d rather have drinks every so often and run or go to the gym – instead of spraying myself with an intoxication aid for a few seconds of drunkenness.
I wish Mr. Edwards the best of luck, I just can’t see myself spending $26 on the stuff. I’ll stick to my beer.
