What beer geek doesn’t love local brew? No matter the city or state, you gotta love and support your local breweries. With that said, we try not to bombard our readers with too much Buffalo boasting because we know we have readers from all over the country, and we love and appreciate all of you equally. However, in the name of local beer, I thought you all could appreciate this brief nod to one of Buffalo’s newest, up-and-coming breweries, New Buffalo Brewing.
William Campbell, owner and head brewer at New Buffalo, with the help of many friends, has been working for over two years to prepare his beer for market. He plans to release two styles off the bat – “the best brown ale ever made,” called Saloon Boss Brown, and an Americanized English Bitters you can enjoy all day long, called Big Fish Bitter. We’ve had both here on tap in the office, and simply put, I was more than impressed with each.
I know Bill personally. I’ve met him a handful of times, and each time he somehow impresses me further. He’s as proud as he is modest, and most importantly, he knows his shit, and he’s serious about this brewery.
I’m going to keep this short. If you’re interested in learning more about Bill and New Buffalo, there’s only a few things you need to do as of right now – watch the videos posted below, visit his Kickstarter page, and if you feel so compelled, toss him some dough. Whether it’s $5 or $50, anything will help him. He’s 3 days and about $19,000 away from his fundraising deadline, so the clock is ticking.
Thanks in advance from New Buffalo, myself, and all of your friends at KegWorks.
