The Fizz: Ginger Steps It Up

Q Ginger AleHere at KegWorks, we’ve been singing the praises of premium, hard-to-find and natural ginger ale and ginger beer for some time now. Long gone are the days where ginger soda is just for mild tummy aches. The new ginger drinks in town offer up an invigorating, peppery, ginger spiciness that hold their own on the rocks and perfectly compliment your favorite spirits.

These delicious ginger ales have even gotten the attention of the Wall Street Journal, who recently had themselves a taste test of over 20 to find their top 5 favorites. A few of our wares have (not surprisingly) made said list, including our newest addition, Q Ginger.

If you’ve tried Q Tonic, an all-natural quinine tonic water out of Brooklyn, you’ll no doubt have high expectations for its young cousin. Featuring real ginger extract mixed with flavors of cardamom, citrus, coriander, cayenne and rose oil, this low-calorie ginger ale treats the tongue to champagne-like bubbles and a pleasantly gingery piquancy.

Two of the other amazing ginger sodas that graced WSJ’s top 5 are Fever-Tree Ginger Beer and Fentimans Ginger Beer, here from across the pond. Think you’d like to try some of these out? We’ve got you covered.

I don’t know about you, but I’m about ready to grab a bottle of Gosling’s Black Rum and mix up a Dark and Stormy. If only I were currently poolside. Sigh.
