Every once in a while I become borderline obsessed with a particular beer. My most recent fixation goes by the name of Woody Creek White. The folks at Flying Dog have impressed me once again and I just can’t seem to get enough.
I’ve had the witbier on draft and out of the bottle and both were great. It pours with a lot of white fluffy head and once it dissipates, there’s really gorgeous lacing on the glass. The color is an enticing cloudy yellow.
If I had to pick a more widely known beer to compare it to, I’d go with Hoegaarden – bready, yeasty with some citrus mixed in. It’s rather mellow and weighs in at 4.8% ABV making it my new favorite summer session beer.
