This week I shot these vintage French tin signs and absolutely loved them! These French liquor signs are from ages past and go perfectly with the beautiful Craftsman style architecture in my apartment (I obviously purchased them immediately).
Buffalo, NY is actually a rich center for beautiful turn-of-the-century homes and skyscrapers. Some of my favorite locations include the Central Terminal (I’ve had an art exhibit there) and city hall (not quite as much corruption as Gothom, possibly?). These buildings of yesteryear bring back the nostalgic feel of Buffalo when this city was thriving and there were more millionaires per capita than in any other US city.
Being from outside Buffalo, I feel that I have a unique perspective on this city that many that have lived here forever have forgotten. This is a friendly, vibrant town where people care about others, give to charities more than I’ve ever seen and have some of the most interesting parties that I’ve ever been to.
So next time you want to think back to the good old times, gaze up at these windows of the past and imagine what the future can bring.
