Video: Young Inventor Shakes Things up in the Cocktail World

Post-Imperial Shaker Invention

Benjamin Cowden from Berkeley, California is a young inventor, artist, and director of the venture he calls TwentySeven Gears. He creates everything from ingenious sculptures, to belt buckles and bottle openers, and has even been featured on The Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet.

Cowden’s latest invention is called the “Post-Imperial Shaker,” and it’s pretty cool. Check it out:

An adaptation of a turn-of-the-century cocktail-shaking machine called “The Imperial Shaker,” it seems like an excellent conversation piece and a little bit of a hassle.
