Ecommerce Merchandising Intern

KegWorks is seeking an Ecommerce Merchandising Intern to help deliver a best-in-class ecommerce experience with a focus on site merchandising, digital marketing, and user generated content. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to analyze data to drive effective business decisions, and have a good eye for design based on solid understanding of web design principles. A successful candidate will have the ability to take direction, as well as work independently and proactively to meet deadlines; a sense of humor is a plus! Successful completion of the internship may result in full-time employment after graduation.


  • Assist with website merchandising tasks including product category classification, product attributes, site search optimization, and product recommendations.
  • Assist with moderating user generated content including publishing and responding to product reviews, answering customer questions and reviewing customer submitted photos.
  • Support PPC, SEO, and other digital marketing objectives.
  • Analyze site metrics and related data to identify opportunities to create content that supports the buying process.

Education & Experience

  • Recent graduate or college senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Marketing, Web Design, Communications, or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Must be self-motivated, a creative problem-solver, collaborative, and possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • General understanding of data analysis techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Passion for understanding what drives customer behavior is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 15-20 hours per week during regular office hours (8:30am - 5:00pm)
  • This is a paid internship which may result in a full-time position.

Lead Magento Developer


KegWorks is seeking a full-time, in-house developer to manage our multi-store Magento-based ecommerce websites. This position is part of the Ecommerce Team and reports to the VP of Consumer Sales. The ability to take direction, as well as work independently and proactively to meet deadlines is required. Candidate must be self-motivated, a creative problem solver, and able to effectively collaborate with multiple teams; a sense of humor is a plus.


  • Maintain Magento platform including security patches, performance tuning, and extension installation.
  • Implement front-end UI/UX changes, as directed by ecommerce and design teams.
  • Recommend and implement changes to deliver a sub 2-second page load time.
  • Adhere to responsive/adaptive development best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and present cutting edge ideas.
  • Complete migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2 by Q3 2019.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of development experience on Magento or similar ecommerce platform. Magento experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable, advanced and current knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery a must.
  • WordPress development and administration experience required.
  • Experience utilizing code repositories such as BitBucket or GitHub.
  • Adherence to best practices and coding standards with strong code documentation skills.
  • The following experience is considered a plus, but not required:
    • Magento Developer Certification
    • Custom Magento extension development
    • Migration from Magento 1 to 2
    • Apache web server & Linux experience
    • Utilizing New Relic & Pingdom, or similar website monitoring tool
    • Implementing Google Analytics tags and ecommerce tracking
    • Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP platform


  • $55,000 - $60,000 - Compensation based on experience.
