    Overview

Looking for saloon style doors? We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re going for a unique look or you want to create an authentic looking Western-style saloon, cafe doors like these are a fun and functional way to make it happen.

Our bi-directional, swinging doors are made of solid wood and coated in a factory applied white pre-finish. They’re crafted using the ProLamen™ process, which eliminates potential warping and ensures proper door alignment for years to come. The superior construction also provides your doors with additional density and heft to make them rigid and rock solid.

These authentic saloon doors are prefit and sized for finished (not rough) openings. This means the doors are made with the required space allowances needed for hinges and center gap. For example, if your finished door width measures 32 inches, then you would order a 32 inch saloon door set. Simply choose the size of your doorframe and use the included hinge hardware for installation.

Hello, my opening is 31 1/2" - I will need to mount on a TBD molding (vs mounting directly to wall plaster). Better to buy the 30" and build it out or 32" and cut the doors?
    A shopper on Mar 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: According to the manufacturer, in your case you would order the 32" door to fit your opening and trim 1/4 inch off each panel to fit your opening.

Please note that while trimming the max of ½ inch off the vertical stiles does not affect the structural integrity of the café door, it will expose the inner wood dowels. This will only be visible if the panels are stained instead of painted and only when held in the opened position.
We have a 30 3/8 inch opening. If we bought the 30 inch doors that leaves less than 1/2 inch per side. Will this work? It’d be helpful if the specs told us exactly the measurements of each door and what is needed for the hardware.
    Renee B on Oct 13, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: Hi Renee,

The saloon doors are prefit and sized for finished (not rough) openings. This means the doors are made with the required space allowances needed for hinges and center gap. Therefore, if your finished door width measures 30 inches, then you would order a 30 inch saloon door set and it will actually measure about 29 inches if measured with both doors butted together.

Since your door opening is slightly larger than 30 inches, you have the following installation options:
Decorative wood trim pieces, corbels or spacers can be installed to the necessary thickness under each hinge to take up the extra space. For example, if your finished door opening is 37 inches, you would install ½ inch thick spacers under each hinge and install the 36 inch door set to the spacers.

The saloon door set includes brass dual-action hinges and hardware. Installation instructions are also included.
can these doors be used outside?

Louvered Solid Pine Saloon Doors - White Finish
Louvered Solid Pine Saloon Doors - White Finish
Louvered Solid Pine Saloon Doors - 24
Louvered Solid Pine Saloon Doors - 24"W
BEST ANSWER: These are not made of pressure-treated wood so they would not do well outdoors.
    Can they cut to size?
    A shopper on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Up to ½ inch can be trimmed off the right and left vertical stiles or edges of the panels. This will allow you a 2 inch variation between your door opening and our door sizes available.

Please note that while trimming the max of ½ inch off the vertical stiles does not affect the structural integrity of the café door, it will expose the inner wood dowels. This will only be visible if the panels are stained instead of painted and only when held in the opened position.
Can i get doors in 60" wide opening?
    Constance M on Jun 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not offer custom sizes for saloon doors. The largest size is for a 36" opening. Cheers!
I want to buy the 32 inch doors. How long are they?
    Ginger B on May 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The doors are 42” high.
What does "Coated with a white pre-finish" mean?
    A shopper on May 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It means it painted as opposed to unfinished.
What is the final dimension with hinges and center space on a 32" door? Is the 32" door the final dimension?
    A shopper on Jan 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: For a 32" opening you would order the 32" size. No additional cuts or modifications should be necessary for the door to swing freely with hinges & center space.
Is the price for 2 doors?
    A shopper on Jan 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the price includes both the left and right panel (complete set).
    Is hardware included?
    A shopper on Jul 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: yes----but if you're going through Sheetrock first, you either need longer screws( 1inch plus) or install plastic expansion nuts first(the included screws are only 5/8")
need to fill a 5 ft wide opening do you have them that large?
    john G on Feb 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi John, we do not carry saloon doors to fit a 5 foot wide opening. The largest size our vendor provides is 36 inches.
door way opening is 35 " . Do I buy the 32 inch ones b/c I have not accounted for the hardware to take up part of the opening?
    karen p on Jan 24, 2016
    BEST ANSWER: Hi Karen,

According to the manufacturer, in your case you would order the 36" door to fit your opening.

With the louvered door sets, up to ½ inch can be trimmed off the right and left vertical stiles or edges of the panels.

For yours to fit, trim 1/2 inch off each of the panels (1 inch total) to fit your door opening.

Please note that while trimming the max of ½ inch off the vertical stiles does not affect the structural integrity of the café door, it will expose the inner wood dowels. This will only be visible if the panels are stained instead of painted and only when held in the opened position.

You shouldn't need to worry about not accounting for the hardware. The doors are prefit which means they are specifically made for the finished door opening they are sized for all while taking in space allowances for hinge installation and a center gap between the panels to allow for proper panel swing.

    Hope that helps! Cheers!
    70.5 inch door opening ?
    A shopper on Nov 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The largest we have available is for 36 inch openings. A 70.5 inch opening would likely require a custom solution.
