A signature tiki cocktail, the Scorpion Bowl is a rum-forward mixed drink that can be shared communally among a group of friends at the table.
Victor Jules Bergeron is said to have originated the Scorpion Bowl drink in the late 1930s at his tiki-themed bar, Trader Vic’s, in Oakland, California. This 32-oz drink bowl is great for "Day of the Dead" parties, Cinco de Mayo, or any time you're getting a group of close friends together.
The Scorpion Bowl recipe includes 10 ounces aged rum, 2 ounces cognac, 2 ounces orgeat, 1 ounce passion fruit syrup, 4 ounces fresh lemon juice, 3 ounces fresh orange juice, and crushed ice. Add stainless steel straws for a great look and an easy way to share.
This large cocktail bowl is shaped like a cactus on the inside with hand-painted traditional Mexican designs on the outside. While the designs are unique depending on the piece you receive, they all share a colorful, interesting look in common.
Your tiki drink will taste better from an authentic ceramic scorpion bowl. Share an experience (and a sip) with your favorite group of friends.
