Perform a traditional absinthe drip at home with the seven-piece set inspired by vintage French designs.

If you have a budding interest in absinthe (and the drinking rituals of 19th century Paris), this is the perfect kit to get you started.

This seven-piece set features everything you need to enjoy a traditional absinthe drip with a friend (minus the absinthe itself), including two (2) Wormwood Leaf Absinthe Spoons, two (2) La Rochere Reservoir Absinthe Glasses, two (2) Porcelain Absinthe Saucers, and one (1) Pack of 20 Absinthe Wrapped Sugar Cubes.

To perform absinthe service, place each glass on a saucer and then fill the reservoir bowl of each glass with absinthe. Next, lay a Wormwood Leaf Absinthe spoon across the rim of each glass so that the slotted portion hovers over the mouth of the glass. Then, place an unwrapped sugar cube on the spoon.

Once that is set up, you can begin the dilution process. From a pitcher or carafe, saturate each sugar cube with a small amount of water. Let the cubes rest briefly. Once they begin to break down and dissolve, slowly drizzle them with a small stream of water until you've filled each glass with approximately 5 ounces worth. The contents of the glasses should turn from bright, clear green to a lighter, opalescent shade of milky green, and that means your absinthe is ready to enjoy!

Of course, you could use a regular old glass and a common fork to achieve the same results, but it wouldn't be as authentic or pleasing. Better to do it as the bon vivants of Paris did, we say.

    • Wormwood Leaf Absinthe Spoons:
      • Intricately crafted wormwood leaf design
      • Chrome plated over brass
      • Fits perfectly over most absinthe glasses
      • Will not tarnish
      • Dishwasher safe
    • Authentic La Rochere Reservoir Absinthe Glasses:
      • Designed especially for preparing and serving absinthe
      • Made of pressed machined glass
      • Classic reservoir style Imported from France
      • The reservoir bowl indicates the amount needed for the size of glass used
      • Made by La Rochere, France's oldest glass maker
      • Reissue of a 1930s absinthe glass design
      • Developed in partnership with the Absinthe Museum
      • Dishwasher and microwave safe
      • Glass contains seams from machining process
    • Porcelain Absinthe Saucers - Green & Silver Pinwheel Accents with French Francs Design:
      • Made of high quality porcelain
      • Hand painted rim and pinwheels
      • Paint and text are fired into the saucer so they will not fade
      • Bistro saucers served a duel purpose in the pre-ban absinthe era
      • Besides serving as a coaster, they also functioned to indicate the price of absinthe being served
      • The price was written on the inside rim or bottom of the saucer and was used to advise the customer of the price of their absinthe
      • The money was generally left inside the coaster itself In the case of this saucer's design, the glass of absinthe would have cost 1.25 French francs
      • These saucers feature green hand-painted rims with green and silver accented pinwheel lines
      • The franc mark is printed into the bottom of the saucers
    • Absinthe Individually Wrapped Sugar Cubes:
      • Specifically designed for the absinthe ritual
      • The pressed cubed sugar is the perfect way of adding sugar to your absinthe
      • Because of the high proof of alcohol, sugar will not dissolve in absinthe, it is for this reason that water is slowly dripped onto a sugar cube which then enables the sugar water to mix more easily with the absinthe
      • It was highly frowned upon to drink absinthe without sugar during the pre-ban era
      • The sugar is also used to cut the bitterness of absinthe
      • Lower in height and less pressed than most standard sugar cubes
      • Each set contains 20 wrapped sugar packets
      • Each packet contains 2 European sized white sugar cubes
      • Made in Europe
      • Sold and used in cafes and bistros throughout France and Italy
      • Most, if not all other sugar cubes regularly made and sold in the United States are bulk packed and not individually wrapped
      • Please note that these sugar cubes are not absinthe flavored and contains no alcohol
