Add a bar foot railing to your setup with this durable metal tubing. This Matte Black-finished 304 stainless steel pipe is available in a variety of tube sizes from 2-feet through 8-feet to fit the size of your bar.

With its contemporary black finish, this powder-coated stainless steel bar foot rail is made to add a long-lasting, unique style to any home or commercial bar.

To properly install this 2-inch tubing along your bar, add your chosen style of bar foot rail brackets in the same diameter. Be sure to carefully measure where each bracket will be placed before drilling into your bar, wall, or floor. For proper support, bar brackets should be placed at each end of the tubing, plus one for every 4-foot increment.

To allow the bar foot rest to match the unique angles of your bar, use elbows and fittings. With end caps and flanges, you can ensure that your bar rail has a finished look and is mounted correctly in any space.

When ordering tubing, it’s always wise to round up to the nearest foot. If your bar is not an even full foot increment, but rather has some inch increment (i.e. 6’2″, 7’2″) you will need to order up to the next foot. So if your bar is 3’2″ you will need to order a 4-foot piece of tubing, if your bar is 7’2″ you will need to order an 8-foot piece of tubing, and so on. If this is the case, you will need to cut the rail with a miter saw prior to installation.

To connect two sections of tubing together, an internal splicing sleeve can be used. The seam between two joined pieces is then covered by placing a bracket over the joint.

By using this Matte Black stainless steel bar rail tubing with matching components, completing a DIY bar foot rail project is easier than it sounds. Achieve a consistent look throughout your bar, with added comfort for your guests.

Please note: Building a bar outside? We’ve got you covered! The Matte Black finish on this bar foot rail is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

    Black doesn't hold up
Unfortunately the 2" black pipe is basically muffler pipe spray painted black. It doesn't hold the paint and is difficult to cut. It should have been made from brass like the brackets and powder coated for durability.

    Response from Kegworks
Thank you for your feedback. The matte black finish is powder-coated on raw steel. Chips or scratches may occur when trimming and during installation. In the long-term, the finish is very durable and used in a variety of home and commercial installations. We've arranged to have a bottle of touch-up paint sent in case you ran into any chips or scratches. Thank you for being a KegWorks customer. Cheers!

    Foot rails very sturdy.
We needed 12 inches on each end of the bar and this 2 foot piece was perfect. It was easily sawed in half using a hack saw. This product is very sturdy.

So, does the black or bronze paint scratch and chip away?
Also, if 6' is too short and 8' is too long, how do we cut the 8' down to 7'? ? hacksaw?? Can you cut us a piece 7' or 7'6" long?
my bar space is exactly 8' long and I thought the end of the foot rail should be inset front he end a bit with end caps.
    Paula S on Jan 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think the tube is powder coated rather than painted. I haven't had any issue with the black coming off.
I cut the piece using a power mitre saw (with a sharp blade) that I own to cut it to length. I used the rounded (half sphere) end cap and I think that worked well. I determined the cut off lenght by standing next to the bar and seeing where my ankle would hit as I walked by the corner of the bar, then went in an inch from there. My only issue was with the screws (that came with the support brackets) which were cheap and stripped fairly easily. I used my own screws and a little black touch up paint on the top of them to make them blend in.
what is the recommended spacing of brackets?
    Mike B on Apr 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mike, we recommend spacing your brackets every 3-4 feet. An 8 foot rail for home use would use 3 brackets. One in the middle and one on each end about 6 inches in from the cap. If you have a longer bar that would require multiple tubes, you'll want to place a bracket where each tube connects to cover the seam. Cheers!
How durable is the black finish. Will shoes resting on it scrape off the black finish?
    Carol S on Oct 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought the foot rail a couple of months ago, but just recently attached it to a bar that I built, so it has had minimal use. But, it is not showing any signs of scrape off from shoes resting on it, and I am very pleased with its durability so far.
The website shows the brackets are 2 inch OD. And the pipe rail shows 2 inch OD. Will the pipe fit your brackets?
    A shopper on Dec 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they will fit the pipe. The brackets are referenced as 2 inch OD to indicate they're compatible with the 2 inch OD pipe.
For a bar mount rail, how far away from the bar is the rail?
    A shopper on May 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The bar mount bracket sits 8 inches to the outside of the rail, 6 inches to the inside of the rail. There are detailed measurements available in the photo gallery on the bar mount bracket product page. I've attached a link below for your reference. Cheers!

how do you deal with butt joint of the railing pieces, do you have to butt in the center of a bracket?
    Bruce K on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Bruce, You'll need a splicing sleeve to join two pieces of rail. The seam should be covered with a bracket for stability. For additional information, you can consult our Bar Rail Installation guide.

Hey, have a bar that needs 9’5” from wall to end. What is best way to break that up with seams and all. Looking at black pipe to do job with combo brackets?
    ed s on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: For even spacing of brackets and splices, we recommend purchasing three 4-foot tubes and two splicing sleeves. You can trim the tubes to get the desired length and bracket spacing. You will also need four brackets total, one for each end and one to cover each of the seams.
