Works well, but there is room for improvement
Installation was relatively easy and it works well, but there are a couple of things that make it less than 5 stars to me. 1) It's not compatible with 5gHz (only works on 2.4gHz) which is annoying for certain WIFI configurations. 2) The "lifetime subscription" is $72 ($36 per tap). It's a brick without the subscription, as there is no way to log into it on your local network via the IP address (like you do for modern printers and lots of other things). This was not clear when I purchased it. For $500, I think functionality for LAN access should have been included (that's all I want... I don't need to be able to log in and check my keg status when I'm not in the same building as the kegs). At the very least, the "Subscription Required" disclaimer should include the price of lifetime subscription, because people who pay $500 for this thing aren't going to pay the $1/tap monthly fee or $10.80 per year per tap fee... they're just going to (be forced to) purchase the lifetime subscription... and they'd prefer to have that cost built into the cost of the unit.
Great keg monitoring system that is easy to install and use
My brother beta tested a 10 tap system at his restaurant and I helped him install and set it up. It was amazingly easy to integrate into his existing keg system. The quick connects really made it easy to install and it took us less than two hours start to finish.The configuration was even easier. In thirty minutes we had it on his network, registered and all of his taps entered and ready to go.The web interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I'd highly recommend the system to any restaurant owner who wants invaluable insight into their beer sales.
