- Overview

Bigger isn’t always better. If you’re limited with space inside your fridge, this US Sankey (D System) keg coupler with a short handle may be just what you need to complete your draft beer system.
The coupler, or keg tap, plays a very important role of connecting your keg, CO2 tank, and beer line. When you operate the black plastic lever, pressurized gas enters the keg, which then pushes your beer up through the beer line toward the faucet for pouring. Check out our blog piece for more on how a keg coupler works.
Featuring a lever handle that is 1/2-inch shorter than a standard coupler, this item is ideal for slim 1/4 kegs with high walls around the coupler fitting. A half inch might not sound like much, but that’s 20% shorter than a standard coupler, and will make a huge difference depending on the keg you’re tapping.
Designed to fit US Sankey (D system) keg valves, this premium coupler will work with the vast majority of North American beers, including Budweiser, Michelob, Miller Lite, Milwaukee’s Best, Coors Light, Killian’s, Sam Adams, Molson, Labatt, and more. Be sure to review our complete keg coupler list to check which system your favorite beer uses.
Made of nickel-plated brass, this keg coupler is durable and simple to install. The blue plastic handle is very easy to operate. For your safety, the coupler features an internal relief device that prevents dangerous pressure build-up that can damage your system.

This is the second one that I've purchased hoping that the first one was a fluke. The problem is the check valve leaks back too quickly resulting in excessive foam within 5 minutes or less. Can not recommend this coupler.- Was this review helpful? Yes (0) No (0)

Response from KegworksThank you for taking the time to leave a review. I asked one of our resident draft beer specialist about the issue you're having. A faulty check valve should not cause excessive foaming. There are three common reasons you will have foam: temperature, pressure, or dirty beer lines. Our customer care team is happy to help troubleshoot your system. If in fact the coupler is defective, they will be able to issue a refund. I will have someone reach out to you. Please feel free to contact us at 877-636-3673 between 9am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Cheers!June 28, 2016Vicky S Staff - Questions & Answers

My only issue is that 1/6 kegs are slightly taller and my keg fridge is compact so I have to angle the 1/6 keg to fit.

Do you need a tool to install the coupler to keg ?BEST ANSWER: No, it works exactly the same as a standard tap but with a shorter handle. That means there is a little les leverage. You need an adj wrench to connect the hoses, but that's it- Reply

Does this coupler come all the seals and O RINGS ?BEST ANSWER: KegWorks Shopper,
KegWorks is offering that I answer your question on my last buying experience. I bought this tapper and I recall that it came (as you see it) with the bottom seal to the keg and there is a seal & one-way valve inside the barbed fitting on the left. I bought this coupler to capitalize on the 1/2" shorter clearance to my keggerator. It works great. Hope this feedback helped.
