How to Install Black Pipe Foot Rail
Our standard Black Pipe tubing is sold in 44-1/2" lengths, but custom lengths can be cut and thread to fit your specific bar dimensions. Black Pipe tee fittings twist onto the tubing rather than sliding over the tubes like traditional bar rail brackets. Fitting dimensions should be considered when totaling your desired bar rail length. Fittings are recommended every 36" to 48". Please note that all the fittings for our Black Industrial Pipe collection are a different color than the tubing itself.
Caring for Black Pipe Food Rail
Proper care of your bar foot rail is important in maintaining its quality over time. As they are built to support the feet of you and your guests, wear and tear can and likely will occur with use. Black Pipe bar rail is more corrosive than our other finishes and is susceptible to rusting over time. To minimize rusting, apply polyurethane or lacquer prior to installation. For outdoor use, black pipe should be treated with a clear coating to protect against corrosion and damage.
