Serving creamy stouts like Guinness calls for special draft beer equipment, including this U System keg coupler. This TOF brand beer coupler comes complete with US standard output fittings and a U system input for an easy connection to your existing keg.
The keg coupler is in charge of connecting your gas tank, keg, and beer line. In the case of Guinness, you will need a gas tank with a 75% Nitrogen/25% CO2 gas blend. When you operate the black plastic handle, gas is pushed into the keg, which then forces the beer through up your vinyl beer lines all the way to the draft faucet. If your beer coupler is not attached properly, your system will not dispense as it should.
With a body made from nickel-plated brass, this Guinness keg coupler has a 304 stainless steel probe — the part that is inserted inside the keg. Every part of this coupler that comes into contact with your beer is made of stainless-steel. This high-end material ensures durable performance and a high-quality pour with no added metallic taste.
Please note: this coupler includes a standard handle, rather than the European handle, for greater ease of use.
This 100% stainless-steel contact keg coupler fits U System keg valves, which is what you’ll need for popular stouts such as Guinness, Harp, Kilkenny, and more. You won’t be able to dispense these stouts with a standard US Sankey (D System) keg coupler. To make sure the beer you want to serve uses the U System, refer to our complete coupler guide:

Does the job
Replaced an older U-coupler and works as hoped. As some noted, a little extra force to push the handle down to engage the small slot at first try. Removing it by pulling on the handle is about the same in terms of effort. My old coupler had enough space to insert a small screwdriver into the slot and help push the pin back, but this one does not, so it is to be seen how long the plastic handle holds up. Otherwise, satisfied.

Keg Coupler
Glad I read the reviews before hand because one has to push down awfully hard to get the coupler to engage with keg. Took 3-4 tries and then it worked fine. Might want to have your design engineers look at that.
can't get it to latch - 3 hours and counting. Phone support is a challenge too.
Three hours and still trying to get it to latch. I am exhausted and keep trying. Only buy this if you want a lot of pain and aggravation.
When tapping the keg the handle almost didn't latch down. It took a couple minutes of pushing it down and feeling like I was going break it before it finally snapped into place
Very good cherries. Prefer Filthy Black Cherries. Cheers!
Smithwicks
Fits perfectly.
Didn’t work. Had to return it and get a refund. Cost me $12 to mail it back.
Worked fine with CO2 and regular faucet -- Hard tio get to 'snap' in place
This worked just fine after I 'cranked it round' extra tight and sort of pushed the handle down a dozen times or so. That seemed eventually to soften something and let the handle lock in place. Before that, I was sure I had the wrong tap. Advice is just to keep working with it. Also, I read some worrying info about using a special nitrogen-co2 gas mix, or argon, but I'm pushing the Guiness out with regular old CO2 and the pours are just fine. The Guiness is so worth the extra trouble. Pressure is a little lower. One more thing: I have a two faucet tap and use one for fizzy water. So the other one needs to do U-tap and D-tap (whatever the more common tap is). I got a "Y" adapter from Kegworks, designed for hooking two taps to one keg and instead attached it to the faucet-inlet thingy. So now both taps (D and U) are available on that faucet. This made me wonder if I couldn't do a bastardized black-and-tan by putting a golden lager on the D tap and opening them both up. There is just enough room in the kegerator fridge for the three kegs. Haven't tried it yet.
Excellent
Works great high quality fast delivery
Guinness Kegerator
Works fine when initially pouring Guinness. After first use all that pours is foam.Technical Support unable to resolve issue.
Tap that Guinness like you want to
Taps easily into my fresh keg of Guinness. No leaks, sputters or spills. St. Patrick’s day is going to be a lot tastier now!
We received the coupler on the exact date it was promised. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that we were able to get our first 1/2 keg of Guinness and give it a try. The coupler arrived in great condition and did not appear to be damaged in any way. However, when making the first tap, it was impossible to engage the keg fitting correctly without using a pair of large channel-lock pliers to get it to rotate far enough to allow the handle to lock down. This may be an issue with the brass twist lock fitting that came in the keg we purchased, or it may be that the bosses on the side of the coupler aren't shallow enough to allow it to rotate the 90 degrees. The only way we will know the answer will be when we replace the keg and tap another one. Since it will be a while until that happens to know for certain, I rate it 4 stars. I may give it 5 if the next keg locks in like it should without going Rambo on it.

Not machined to very tight tolerance
I finally got this coupler to latch after several attempts. It twists in ok but the gas handle refused to stay latched. Thought I was gong to have to find another coupler from a different supplier. After many attempts, and putting quite a bit of force on the handle it finally latched. Just doesn't seem to mate with the keg in a way that the gas handle can accommodate.

Works Great
It was a little hard to get on. I've tapped hundreds of kegs and the fitting seemed a little difficult. But I have no air or beer leaks for this first keg of Guinness.
