Made custom hand blown glass tap handles with these threaded inserts. .

I haven't actually put these on a tap yet, but I made these hand blown glass tap handles using the parts I ordered. Thanks!

Good Product, will buy again

I work at KegWorks and bought these fittings to make some simple tap handles on the lathe, and just drilled holes in the bottom and used some epoxy to glue the fittings in place. Very easy to use.

Great Threads!

I've tried a few different inserts, and find that these work quite well. I build custom tap handles out of solid maple and like that these thread in quite easily. They have a smaller outside diameter which means a smaller hole. You will need two different bits since there is quite a variation between the inserts in outside diameter. Also being from Canada, the price of getting them to my door is a little hard to swallow. First the exchange rate, and then the outrageous shipping charges. But for now, I will continue to use them.

Would be better if had groves on ends for flat head screw driver to help screw into custom made handle. Had to use plyers being careful not to ruin threads.

Perfect for threaded holes

I chose this insert because I wanted to tap a threaded hole in my tap handle prior to installing the insert. Other inserts I've found are pressure fit into a drilled hole and could result in splitting of the handle. I found that a 29/64 hole tapped with a 1/2-20 NC tap is appropriate for this insert. A little epoxy on the threads makes this a permanent and very strong installation.
