When you’re ready to dispense draft beer or soda from your Cornelius keg, you’ll need a coupler to attach your liquid line. This easy-to-use ball lock style quick disconnect is just what you’re looking for.

Homebrewers love the Cornelius keg (also called a Corny keg) for its size and convenience. It’s important to know which disconnect type styles your keg uses – a ball lock or pin style. The ball lock style was originally known as the Pepsi keg, but is now commonly used for beer, 7-UP, and other beverages. This liquid disconnect works exclusively with the ball lock system.

This Cornelius keg coupler has a black plastic body, which indicates it’s intended for use with liquids. To install, pull up the collar, push the disconnect over the keg’s liquid post, and release. The internal spring will release and lock the disconnect in place. For a complete system, you’ll also need a disconnect for your gas, which will be grey.

Featuring an integrated ¼ in. barbed outlet, the ball lock disconnect is very easy to hook up to your liquid line. All you have to do is slide the plastic beer line over the nipple, then use a screw clamp to tighten around the hose.
